What is the purpose for the Canon Rebel XT?
I'm anxious to get a new lens for my Canon Rebel XT. Currently I have the goal Kit (18-55mm) and the 28-135 IS USM. I take mostly portraits, landscape photos taken during the holidays and tourism. The lens 2 I reduces to the following: 1. Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM 2. Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM I have read all the comments, so no need for answers about what other lenses are there or there are other better than I could take …. I know there are better lenses, but my budget can not afford them. Which would you choose, why, and have you personally used? If you've used one of these objectives, what are the benefits / disadvantages for them. I do not want advice on other Canon lenses – I read the comments and I know it exists. I can not L Series lens afford If you can not answer the question above, please do not waste time!
I have two goals that you mention, and are not really comparable at all. The macro lens is therefore an objective * * macro. Of course, it can be used as a fixed focal lens length portrait 100 mm, and does a good job – but I love my 50mm f/1.4 better for this type of work. The 70-300mm lens is very versatile. "I can use more than any other goal I have, and every time we've been out, has a beautiful portrait lens too. In my mind, no doubt – I would choose EF 70-300mm in a flash on the 100 mm macro, then add the lens macro when I could afford.
